When will I get my housing and roommate assignment?

Once you have completed your fall housing application, registered for classes, and paid your deposit, we will begin assigning students for our first round of housing.

What amenities are available in my residence hall?

  • Study rooms
  • Chapel
  • Meeting rooms
  • Large public lounge
  • TV lounge
  • Ironing board and iron
  • Outside bicycle racks
  • Laundry and microwaves available on each floor

A limited number of lofts for beds are available to rent for $99. No other lofts are permitted.

Visit indwes.housing.cloud/applications to apply to rent a loft.

What furniture will be provided in my room?

  • Extra-long twin bed (can be bunked)
  • Mattress
  • Desk with shelf and chair
  • Blinds
  • One dresser to be shared with roommate
  • Wall storage units

Are there times during the year when all students must leave the residence halls?

Yes, all halls are closed over Thanksgiving, Christmas and Spring breaks.

Can I commute to campus?

If you are planning to commute to campus, and if you qualify, you must fill out an Off-Campus Application form at indwes.housing.cloud/applications.

Once you are approved, you won’t need to apply in future semesters.

Are there laundry facilities?

Yes, free laundry facilities are available for use in each living area.

What should I pack?

Please label all boxes with your name and room number

  • Bedding (extra-long sheets, 36"x80")
  • Toiletries
  • Towels
  • Clothes hangers
  • Laundry supplies
  • Desk/school supplies
  • Wastebasket

Is there anything I should leave at home?

  • Cooking appliances (coffee makers are acceptable)
  • Microwaves
  • Lofts for beds
  • Pets (except fish)
  • Halogen lamps
  • Candles/incense
  • Firearms, weapons, alcohol, drugs or tobacco in any form
  • Clothing, posters, pictures, etc that show products or activities that are inconsistent with IWU values and policies
