Your personalized student portal is the website you will use to access university information such as your e-mail, housing, grades, class schedule, and billing information.
First-time Log In Information
To log in to your portal for the first time, use the username and password credentials IWU emailed you shortly after you were accepted. The student portal will become your primary means of communication once you start classes, so be sure to familiarize yourself with it!
BE SURE TO CHECK THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER FOR:
- Status of your financial aid
- Your billing statement
- Housing and roommate information
- Instructions on completing your health form
- Your assigned move-in day and time
GET CLEARED FOR CLASS
We want to help you take care of business—from your payment plan to housing assignments—before your check-in day so that you can be fully focused on academic learning, enriching relationships, and personal growth when classes begin.
All new and returning students are required to be “cleared for class” in order to move into their residence hall, attend New Student Orientation, and begin classes. We’ve created the list on the following page to help keep you on track!

Be sure to start checking your IWU student email address regularly. Campus offices will begin using your student email to communicate important information.

Submit Health Information
Check your IWU email for instructions and a link to fill out health information and upload immunization records on Med+Proctor.

Details regarding check-in, arrival time and residence hall assignments will be sent to your student email during the summer.

In addition to the required health information for IWU that are submitted through Med+Proctor, varsity athletes and nursing students are required to have a physical.
Varsity athletes will submit documentation as directed by their team athletic trainer and coach.
Nursing students should submit documentation to the Nursing Clinical Placement Coordinator.
